INTERVIEW CHECKLIST
 

BEFORE THE INTERVIEW 

Dress in a plain navy or dark colored business suit.
Arrive 15 minutes early. 
Research the company and print out information to bring with you.
Bring several copies of your resume. 
Prepare a copy of references. 
Bring a pen and notebook to takes notes  during the interview. 
Prepare questions to ask during the interview
.

 QUESTIONS THAT YOU MAY BE ASKED

What are your strengths/weaknesses? 
Why should we hire you?      
Why do you want to work here? 
What are your goals? 
Why did you leave (or why are you leaving) your job? 
When were you most satisfied in your job? 
What can you do for us that other candidates can't? 
What are three positive things your last boss would say about you?

 SAMPLE QUESTIONS TO ASK

Why is this position open? 
What does your top rep do to be successful? 
What attracted you to the company? 
What are the top three attributes that you are looking for? (ask early on) What does your top sales person do to be so successful? 
What are the company’s biggest strengths? weaknesses?  
I know your competitors are x, y, and z, but what is the biggest challenge a rep faces in front of a client? 
What is your management style? 

CLOSING QUESTIONS 

Do you have any questions or concerns about my background or my ability to be successful? 
How do I stack up against other people you are interviewing?
When are you looking to bring someone on board? 

Summarize why they should hire you and ask for the job!
